AHA BLS INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT COURSE
PART A: ONLINE COURSE WORK TO BECOME AN INSTRUCTOR
Service Description
Participants must be accepted by an authorized AHA TC, complete an Instructor Candidate Application for the TC before enrolling in an AHA Instructor Course. Have current AHA provider status in the discipline for that Instructor Course and be proficient in all the skills of that discipline. Disciplines include ACLS, BLS, PALS, PEARS and Heartsaver. Successfully complete the Instructor Essentials Course for the discipline for which you are becoming an Instructor, including both the online portion and the classroom/hands-on session. Successfully be monitored teaching within 6 months of completing the hands-on session of their Instructor Essentials Course (TC Coordinators may require additional monitoring, if needed) The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.

Cancellation Policy
For cancellation and rescheduling of class of remote courses, a 36-hour notice is required. Refunds will only be issued if participant canceled 36-hour before scheduled course start time and equipment rental is returned withing 7 postal days (Monday-Saturdays). To reschedule a class, 36 hours' notice is required and will result in a $25.00 Rescheduling fee. Complete cancelation of the course will result in $30 shipping and handling of equipment returns. Remote Classes equipment charges of $250 will be charged for failed to return CPR rental inclusive of all equipment in working condition. Equipment charges of $5.00 per day for any equipment not returned withing 5 days after class end time. Please plan accordingly. Cancellations WITHIN 48 of the class start time will result in partial refund. Cancellations with 24 hours of class start time will result in forfeit of refunds. Any equipment that is not returned could result in small claims proceeding and will include court filing cost.
